The Product Development Manager will establish and lead a center of excellence for A&H products across Chubb Latin America. The Manager will drive development of new product & service opportunities that are based on customer knowledge and actuarial knowledge to be able to design solutions that cover the protection needs of clients, but at the same time seek to have profitability in line with Chubb's goals. This is a growth-oriented position that is customer-centric, focusing across the full spectrum of A&H products, DM, Travel and Basic Book. The position will report to A&H Head of product proposition, but will work in coordination with UW team.
Internal Relations: With all areas of the Company. – Regional and Local. Directors, Managers, Underwriters and other team members, collaborates with all areas, most specifically Operations and IT; reporting to the executive level and supervise follow-ups with the management teams.
Responsibilities:
Establish and lead a Product Innovation & Development center of excellence for A&H products across Chubb Latin America. Shared responsibility for ideation, design/development, implementation and launch together with Regional Product Heads. Support and follow up product implementation in different countries of the region Drive in-depth, customer-centric understanding of core audiences (B2C, B2B) and the insurance marketplace, synthesizing findings and developing value proposition solutions to solve customer needs and preferences. Lead all customer-research initiatives and ensure that findings are actionable and translated into marketing, distribution and product design initiatives. Develop and implement a standardized methodology to maximize the company’s product development effort and move A&H towards more innovative, successful and impactful products, capitalizing on the investment to rapidly grow Digital. Coordinate with Line of Business leaders to ensure that new products are engineered to drive combined ratios around the mid-80’s , with some margin depending on product and channel. Works together with the COG A&H Business Development team to obtain continues feedback and market/product insight from other countries/regions.
