Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Services Team
Come join the Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Services team and help ensure best in class service to our customers. In this position, you’ll be an integral part of the Aircraft Maintenance and/or Aircraft Customization team, performing a variety of tasks such as installations, inspections, fabrication, and modification, all in accordance with applicable data and customer specifications. In this position you’ll have an opportunity to grow your technical abilities and advance your skills with practical, hands-on experience.

What you’ll be doing as an AP Mechanic (Entry Level)

Assist senior mechanics with inspections and disassembly/reassemblyInstall Bell, AA, and other aftermarket kitsPerform work in accordance with multiple manufacturers' drawings and instructionsWork as a team member to ensure quality and timely completions of aircraft to meet scheduleDocument work performed accurately and completelyLearn and apply knowledge of tasksDemonstrate consistent ability to perform most tasks with limited errors or reworkPractice safe and applicable use of basic hand toolsDemonstrate safe work habits and always wear proper PPEOther duties as assigned

Skills You Bring To this Role

Self-motivation.Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.Strong organization skills.Ability to perform job duties, including basic measuring, drilling, and fabrication tasks.Ability to work from detailed documents, technical manuals, and blueprints.Ability to work overtime as required.Ability to read and understand drawings, installation instructions, and maintenance manuals.Familiarity with basic mathematics and measurement techniques.

What you need to be successful

High School Diploma or GED.Airframe Powerplant Certificate.Generally 1 year of experience as an aircraft mechanic. Additional experience may qualify selected candidate for offer at higher level/salary grade.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
