**Req Number** 104262 Job Description Advises and counsels admitted patients of financial responsibility and self-payments. Processes payments, issues patient receipts, and maintains collection log. Job Responsibility + Interviews patients to obtain necessary financial and insurance information. + Verifies patients insurance and collects additional insurance such as No Fault and Workers Compensation. + Performs financial assessment of patients; refers potential Medicaid cases to Medicaid Investigator. + Gathers documentation and assists in the completion of the Financial Assistance Program (FAU) application process. + Assists patients and/or families in resolving hospital bills; advises and counsels patients of their payment responsibility due to the hospital. + Establishes patients' pro-rated financial obligations and sets-up payment arrangements/contracts. + Follows up on scheduled payments via mail and telephone. + Processes applications for Section 1011, where applicable. + Maintains daily work log of payments collected. + Performs related duties as required. Job Qualification + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + 1-3 years of relevant experience, required. Additional Details: Monday - Friday (8am - 4:30pm) + EHR, Allscripts, US Mon experience, preferred + Out of network bill processing, strongly preferred + Aware of federal and state laws pertaining to out of network claims + Collecting money on claims + Strong phone processes, ability to speak clearly and professionally + Familiar with No Fault and Workers Comp claims of normal processes, specifically for appeals + Familiarity with Workers Compensation Portal and Board for prior auth for Workers Compensation + Familiar with CPT Codes, diagnosis codes, fee schedule + Able to read explanation of benefits, EOB, preferred + Finance experience/background, preferred + Self sufficient, strong work ethic, takes initiative, work claims independently + Working for only Neck and Back surgeries, cervical experience preferred + 3 month training period, paid and provided *Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
