About the Role:

CrowdStrike Information Technology is looking for an AV Architect to join the IT Network Engineering team, which plays a critical role building network, VoIP, and video infrastructure that supports all CrowdStrike teams. The person in this position will play a key role, driving AV architecture in a collaborative environment that will enable the team to build and support the audio visual environment at scale.  The successful candidate will also create architecture documentation in alignment with industry best practices and provide technical leadership to functional project teams and cross-team major initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

Translate deep knowledge of collaboration spaces, conference room technology, live event production, and video and collaboration platforms to reference AV architecture for CrowdStrike

Lead the development of a strategic roadmap for AV at global scale; drive ongoing efforts to ensure that the strategic roadmap is continually aligned with IT Operations and business objectives

Manage the AV technology life cycle from conception to deployment in a global enterprise environment

Leverage skills and experience with messaging and collaboration platforms including Slack, Google Meet, Zoom, and Webex

Create and update AV knowledge-based documentation, AV architecture and design, and AV operating procedures and standards

Leverage experience with broadcast systems, video codecs, and streaming protocols

Participate as a member of Facilities office build teams, providing technical leadership, AV design review, coordination with AV vendors prior to and during installation, and coordination for AV commissioning

Monitor AV infrastructure and traffic; identify and document problem areas and recommend infrastructure and performance improvements based on current and projected enterprise environment

Track project budgets and prioritize ongoing and new projects in a global team environment

Report regularly to the product owner on the status of projects and plan future roadmaps to project delivery in a timely manner

Prepare clear written plans and execute scheduled AV system maintenance to meet stated objectives within designated maintenance windows

Prepare and deliver professional presentations to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels

Provide subject matter expertise to functional project teams and participate in cross-team major initiatives

What You’ll Need:

Demonstrated ability to create AV system design drawings in AutoCAD/Visio

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members of multiple teams in multiple world regions

Demonstrated ability to create architectural plans for audio visual systems and modify architecture drawings to incorporate AV systems

Demonstrated ability to build new or upgrade existing audio/video/ display systems in multipurpose spaces utilized for town hall and special events, training rooms, executive conference rooms, and executive briefing rooms

Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new AV technologies, including current knowledge of Polycom, Crestron, Shure, BiAmp, QSC, and other codecs/cameras

Must speak fluent English and communicate clearly in written English

Must possess a valid driver’s license and own a working vehicle with current registration and insurance

Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.

Must be willing to travel occasionally to data centers, CrowdStrike offices, and other locations

Bonus Points:

Manufacturer certification with Cisco, Logitech, Neat, Polycom, Crestron, Shure, BiAmp, QSC, and other codecs/cameras/switching and control devices

Advanced understanding of IP addressing and subnetting, TCP/IP, and DNS

Proficiency with streaming protocols, protocol analysis, and log analysis tools

Strong interest in continuing education and certification

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to equal pay for equal work in its compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $135,000 - $225,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
