The community you’ll be caring for: Clinical Improvement – Sepsis Program
The role you’ll contribute:
The Process Improvement Specialist is a qualified individual who, under the general direction of the Director, will provide project management and clinical analytic support to high priority cost and effectiveness initiatives throughout the system. The Process Improvement Specialist is tasked with identifying inefficiencies in healthcare delivery services and solutions to re-engineer systems to improve the access, quality and cost of care for beneficiaries and the organization. This role will primarily focus on process analysis, time and cost studies, process simulation, process and productivity improvement in the clinical setting.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Provide support functions for all aspects of the sepsis program
Collaborate with nursing management and staff nurses to define, guide, and evaluate nursing practice in the provision of care for the patient with sepsis; including the creation and review of related policies and procedures
Coordination of the Sepsis Program with the Medical Staff through professional relationships with physician champions, Intensivists, emergency physicians, and other medical/support staff for maintenance and growth of the program.
Collaborates with other members of the hospital team to facilitate a multidisciplinary review of the care of the patient with sepsis
Conduct monthly Sepsis Program meetings for the evaluation of outcomes, policy and protocol development, review of current best practices through networking and ongoing education, and provide input into the enhancement of the current Sepsis Program.
Collaborates with the education department in planning, providing, and evaluating sepsis program education
Collaborates with Cas Management for the review of Sepsis related readmission for improvement opportunities
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications :· Associates Degree
· Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Engineering, Business or Healthcare-related field or equivalent work experience in related field.
Preferred qualifications:· Minimum three years’ experience in data analytics/process improvement OR healthcare setting
· Registered Nurse licensure
· Change Management Certification
· Team STEPPS Certification
· LEAN Performance Improvement Certification
· Six Sigma Performance Improvement Certification
