What you`ll do:

Summary:

We are looking for a Software Developer to join the Sustainability unit and develop new product features for the Environment Management modules in ABAP programming language. The SAP Environment Health and Safety product (SAP EHS) supports our customers with all activities in the areas of industrial safety, health, and environmental protection. It helps organizations to reduce effort and costs in regulatory reporting, improve tracking of compliance and drive a proactive safety culture in the workplace.

 

The Role:

As a Software Developer, you will:

Participate in all phases of software development and delivery: from research and prototyping, design and architecture, through implementation and testing, to deployment, support and operations Learn and work with SAP development tools and technologies, like Fiori and SAP UI5 frameworks, ABAP programming language, Core Data Services (CDS), in-memory computing, SAP Business Technology Platform, and others Build advanced knowledge of development processes and product standards in Cloud ERP Work as part of a scrum development team, closely together with others and exchange knowledge to ensure product success Constantly improve your agile software engineering skills as well as contribute to the continuous improvement of your team and product

 

What you bring:

Strong expertise in software development Deep knowledge in OOP, data structures, algorithms and solid experience in coding. Experience with ABAP Development would be considered an advantage Good knowledge of user interfaces, MVC concept and UI frameworks that are based on it. JavaScript, HTML/CSS, UI5 will be considered an advantage Basic understanding of software architecture principles, modern cloud architectures and design of large software systems Curiosity and desire to dive into new technologies, concepts and tools Excellent communication skills, proven both in relations with teammates and partners, as well as with customers and external stakeholders You should be fluent in English, both spoken and written Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
