Abatement Supervisor with Gulf Coast Industrial

The Abatement Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of construction and asbestos abatement projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in adherence to Hudspeth's safety standards. This position plays a pivotal role in coordinating and supervising various construction and abatement activities, collaborating with project teams, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. **MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES** Construction Superintendent Responsibilities: + Lead and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and other team members on-site. + Coordinate and manage the scheduling of construction activities, including resource allocation and materials procurement. + Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards. + Monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations, promoting a culture of safety among all team members. + Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and potential risks. Abatement Superintendent Responsibilities: + Lead and manage asbestos abatement projects from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with regulations. + Provide strategic direction to project teams, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standards. + Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, optimizing resource utilization. + Monitor project progress, ensuring quality standards and budget constraints are met. + Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project operations. **REQUIRED JOB SKILLS & ABILITIES** + Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for effective team management. + Excellent organizational and time management abilities to ensure project milestones are met. + Proficiency in construction project scheduling, resource allocation, and asbestos abatement regulations. + In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, building codes, and asbestos abatement industry standards. + Effective communication skills for coordinating with diverse stakeholders. **EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE** + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred. + Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR, or LEED Accreditation. + Minimum of 5 years' experience in construction management, preferably in a leadership role, and proven experience in asbestos abatement projects. + Familiarity with construction software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6) and project management software. **WORKING ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS** + Construction site-based role, with exposure to various weather conditions. + Potential hazards include working at heights, heavy machinery, construction materials, and asbestos. + Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and occasional heavy lifting. + Standard workweek, with potential for overtime to meet project deadlines. + Occasional travel may be required to attend project meetings or training sessions. **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES** + Proficiency in construction management software, project management tools, and asbestos abatement regulations. + Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration and provide project updates. + Problem-solving abilities to address unexpected issues and challenges. + Attention to detail in reviewing plans, specifications, and project documents. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing project requirements. + Customer service mindset for fostering positive client relationships. **PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS** + Physical requirements include walking, standing, climbing, and lifting heavy objects. + Mental demands may include managing multiple tasks and making quick decisions under pressure. + Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing environments. **OTHER DUTIES** Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
