About the Role & Program
ABC Localish is a media brand dedicated to celebrating cities and cultures across America. We create feel-good shows for ABC and Hulu streaming platforms, branded video content for our Disney partners including Hulu, FX, ESPN, National Geographic, and Disney Channel, as well as stories for our ABC TV stations.
What You Will Do
The ABC Localish Production Intern calls for a university-level talent who is interested in growing and applying their existing knowledge of content production to support our creative and e-commerce initiatives.
The individual will be involved in all parts of our content production process creating content aimed at uplifting our local communities. This candidate’s day-to-day will include brainstorming ideas, shooting/editing content. writing ecommerce service journalism articles, and clearing digital stories for distribution across multiple digital and broadcast endpoints.
This person should aspire to find unique stories and content opportunities that can resonate with national audiences and should have strong written communication skills that speak to different communities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Ability to independently produce, shoot and edit short form stories, plus if in the commerce space
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and familiarity Adobe Suite
Experience with Cannon (c300) and Sony (FX) cameras
Understanding of social platforms including distribution and analysis
Strong AP writing skills with some knowledge of e-commerce service journalism trends that can drive sales across platforms
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through January 2026
Fully available from Monday through Friday, for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work in the New York area

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.00 per hour.
