An AC & Refrigeration Technician with Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems within the hotel. This role ensures that equipment operates efficiently, providing a comfortable environment for guests and staff while adhering to safety and energy conservation standards.

\n\nInspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot AC and refrigeration systems, including chillers, split units, package units, and cold storage equipment.\nPerform regular preventive maintenance on air conditioning and refrigeration systems.\nRepair or replace defective parts, including compressors, fans, motors, and filters.\nEnsure proper refrigerant charging and leak detection procedures are followed.\nMaintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and repairs.\nAssist in the installation of new AC and refrigeration systems.\nRecommend system upgrades and improvements for better energy efficiency.\nEnsure all installations comply with hotel and industry safety regulations.\nMonitor system performance to optimize energy efficiency and reduce costs.\nFollow all hotel safety protocols and ensure compliance with local regulations.\nHandle refrigerants safely and responsibly according to environmental guidelines.\nRespond promptly to guest and staff requests regarding temperature or equipment concerns.\nWork closely with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Food & Beverage, to ensure refrigeration and AC systems support operational needs.\nProvide technical support and training to other maintenance team members as needed.\n

\n\nMinimum 3-5 years of experience in AC & Refrigeration Technician in a high-end or luxury hotel, fine dining pool & beach restaurant, or an equivalent setting.\nStrong knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.\nFamiliarity with chillers, split units, package units, and cold storage equipment.\nAbility to inspect, diagnose, and resolve AC and refrigeration issues efficiently.\nUnderstanding of hotel and industry safety regulations, refrigerant handling, and energy conservation best practices.\nCapability to document maintenance activities, ensure compliance, and recommend system improvements.\nAbility to collaborate with other departments and provide technical support to colleagues.\nA commitment to responding promptly to guest and staff concerns, ensuring comfort and satisfaction.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nKeen eye for detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings\n\n
