Location: Remote - Netherlands
Position Summary
This position will hold responsibility for driving and expanding business throughout Academic accounts within the Netherlands. Account responsibility includes Universities, Hospitals and Government Research Institutes. In this position you will be expected to maintain an extremely high level of customer and market knowledge.
You will be expected to deliver a strong level of new revenue through engagement of new and existing key opinion leaders as well as spending 3-4 days per week visiting customers in person.
Essential Responsibilities
Pro-actively engage current and new customers through a variety of communication routes including in-person, digital platforms, phone, email, and social media.
Support key customer relationships and expand the revenue impact from these groups through both Digital and in person engagement.
Develop strategic regional campaigns tailored to the academic market in relation to trending research areas, executing these within target accounts in the territory.
Work closely with our product specialist teams to develop Account Specific Strategies and capitalise of highest funded institutes, including set up of joint visits and Bio-Techne workshop days.
Identify and utilise a range of innovative techniques to gain increased product awareness and expand product market presence.
Increase the Bio-Techne publication rate within impacting journals and institutes by increasing the number of academic labs utilising Bio-Techne products.
Utilise commercial data to drive revenue generating activities, ability to identify key areas of focus and justify this focus.
Ensure academic customer base within your accounts deliver growth by understanding their current research and how the Bio-Techne portfolio sits within this.
Maintain and expand relations with high profile contacts, including Procurement Teams and Senior PIs. Focused on increased level of large deals executed within the Academic market.
Develop strategies to impact routine purchasing from Accounts through e-commerce and Framework channels
Take the lead on specific NAR Academic Strategies to drive positive impact into the wider NAR region.
Proficient networking and event engagement. Utilise account insight to know which events Bio-Techne need to attend and develop strategic approach to engage Key Opinion Leaders.
Build strong understanding of key academic networks within your territory and build relationships with senior stakeholders to increase Bio-Techne brand adoption.
Embed and promote the EPIC values in all areas of work, maintaining the company’s culture, ethics, and people engagement
Essential Qualifications
B.S./B.A. in a Life Science discipline or closely related field, M.S., Ph.D. or M.B.A. a plus.
3-5 years’ experience in Life Science Sales with deep knowledge of the Dutch market and growth areas.
Proficient in digital platforms, financial analysis, and tracking ROI/KPIs.
Proven ability to independently develop and execute winning strategies in a competitive, target-driven environment.
Comfortable working toward financial targets and accountable for meeting associated KPIs.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates innovative, out-of-the-box thinking and flexibly to varying work demands, even beyond core hours.
Ability to build strong relationships cross functionally
