Schrödinger, the leading provider of state-of-the art scientific software and services for pharmaceutical and materials research, is seeking an Academic Account Manager for a one-year fixed-term position, with the possibility of converting to a permanent employee. This hire will be responsible for growing revenue based on our software solutions and services for academic and governmental institutions in a territory that encompasses German-speaking, Eastern, Southern, and Northern Europe.
Schrödinger is expanding its offerings beyond technology-leading computational chemistry software into the areas of materials science, biologics, enterprise informatics, databases, and visualization. The new Account Manager will play an integral part in this expansion by growing current customer relationships and creating new business opportunities.Who will love this job:

Identify, qualify, and develop new business Nurture and grow existing accounts Work with different teams to support accounts needs Collaborate with the EU team to develop business and marketing strategies to target specific customer segments Produce timely and accurate business reports and revenue forecasts Travel to customers, as well as represent and promote Schrödinger at conferencesWhat you should have:
A degree in life sciences or business At least two years’ experience in account management or business development in the scientific software (or related) industry Outstanding customer relationship and management abilities Fluency in English (knowledge of German is a plus) Familiarity with computational chemistry software is a plus Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, Netsuite) is a plusWhat we offer:
