Provide academic advising and learning enhancement activities for students at the Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Monitor students' academic progress and modify student curricula for new and enrolled students at the College. Advocate on behalf of students with academic and personal issues as well as disabilities. Assist the Assistant Dean and Assistant Director with NYU Meyers academic support programs including tutoring, workshops, orientations for students entering clinicals, and peer advising programs.
QualificationsRequired Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in higher education administration, counseling, or closely related field preferred.
Required Experience:
2+ years relevant experience in student advising or equivalent in combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working with faculty members.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of nursing curriculum. Familiarity with academic support programs. Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Demonstrated writing ability. Excellent technology skills. Ability to advise and provide solutions to problems. Ability to supervise staff.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficient in Google education applications, Excel, and Student Information Systems.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $75,000.00. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
