The Assessment Manager will report to the Executive Director of Academic Strategy and Operations and will play a key role in advancing a culture of assessment at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. This position will be responsible for managing various data and assessment-related processes and projects in alignment with accreditation requirements, institutional effectiveness, and strategic planning. The Assessment Manager will be responsible for the following duties: + Promote and support a schoolwide culture of assessment by establishing and reinforcing institutional standards and best practices. + Develop, implement, and maintain assessment tools, schedules, reporting mechanisms, guidelines, and workflows. + Oversee assessment activities and documentation to ensure compliance with state, university, and accreditation requirements. + Collect, organize, and disseminate assessment reports, tools, and resources to SPH faculty and staff, and other stakeholders. + In collaboration with the Executive Director of Academic Strategy and Operations, faculty and senior administrators, develop an institutional effectiveness plan integrating information from accreditation reporting, program assessment, and strategic planning. + Collaborate with senior administrators, faculty, and staff on program-level assessment efforts, including Academic Program Review (APR) and Administrative and Educational Support (AES) assessment. + Support the SPH Assessment Committee Chair and Curriculum Committee Chair in establishing meeting schedules, setting meeting agendas, taking, and disseminating meeting minutes and identifying and following up on action items. + Collaborate with SPH faculty and staff in analyzing and summarizing assessment data. + Collaborate with SPH faculty and staff in identifying action items and facilitating their implementation based on assessment data. + Develop and lead assessment training activities and workshops for faculty and staff. + Support departments and instructors in the development and assessment of student learning outcomes. + Participate in CUNY-wide assessment initiatives and working groups; represent SPH on CUNY Assessment Council + Perform related duties as assigned. **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor's degree and six years' related experience required. The preferred candidate will have: + Master’s degree in public health, applied psychology, statistics, organizational management, or a related field. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. + Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with program and course-level assessment in higher education. + Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with regional accreditation (Middle States) assessment requirements. + Experience using survey software to design, implement and analyze surveys. + Demonstrated knowledge of quantitative and qualitative assessment methods. + Strong attention to detail and analytic and organizational skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW** Manages College activities related to assessment planning to achieve excellence in student learning outcomes through systemic course and program assessment. - Advises department personnel in developing assessable course and program goals, learning outcomes, and assessment measures - Designs, conducts, and reports on assessment activities - Analyzes and reports on activities, results, and recommendations, and plans future goals and targets; coordinates reporting with College management and external organizations - Collaborates with faculty on issues related to assessment for teaching and learning initiatives, including grant proposals and reports - Performs related duties as assigned. CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 3.25% effective 9/1/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
