Whoever you are, whatever you are passionate about—we welcome you and encourage you to open the world through education. Your Role EF Oxford is currently looking for a Summer Academic Coordinator to join our vibrant and diverse academic team, supporting our Summer Academic Manager and ensuring the smooth administration of our academic programmes. The role runs from June – August 2025, on a fixed term contract and with permanent opportunities available afterwards.  Responsibilities  To ensure the smooth, effective administration of the academic programme To ensure students receive the highest levels of customer service in the Academic department To support the Academic/Teaching team by ensuring the smooth day to day running of the department Manages timetabling, ensuring all students are allocated to appropriate classes taking into account special requests and additional courses (e.g. Global Leadership Camp), all classes are allocated to appropriate rooms and working with the Summer Academic Manager to ensure teachers are properly assigned to classes Ensures timetables are finalised in a timely manner for students and teachers and are accurate Conducts regular checks on teacher administration, uploads records of work, provides feedback as directed by Summer Academic Manager Cover for teacher absence Shares emergency duty on a rota basis Deals with student enquiries, problems and complaints as required Assists with attendance monitoring (attendance check, follow up, issue of attendance letters, etc) Requirements  Qualified TEFL teacher Customer service focused with excellent communication and people skills Strong MS Office skills Enjoys working in busy & varied environment Excellent customer service skills, communication & people skills Ability to handle difficult situations with ease, remaining calm & positive under pressure This is a live-in position where accommodation and full board is provided at no extra cost, there are some residential requirements attached to this All offers are subject to a clear DBS check and two references Right to work in the UK C2 level of English Why you will love EF Oxford  Continuous professional development for all staff Work in a truly international environment Regular social events Ambition is nurtured and fast-tracked career enhancement opportunities are provided Staff are encouraged to innovate, take ownership of their ideas and bring them to fruition Global career opportunities Employee Assistance Program External trainings on safeguarding and mental health first aid Cultural and academic centre of UK What do our staff say? ‘Diverse teaching team with mix of ages, cultures and interests’‘Lots of support from management’‘Materials provided so less prep time is needed’‘Fantastic international students and good customer service’‘You are encouraged to take on as many challenges as possible, which helps you progress as a teacher and professional"EF is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  References will be followed up and will ask specifically whether there is any reason that the applicant should not be engaged in situations where they have responsibility for, or substantial access to, persons under 18.  Upon interview all gaps in CVs must be explained satisfactorily and proof of identity and, where applicable, qualifications will be required.  Appropriate suitability checks will be required prior to confirmation of appointment.
