The Division of Nephrology & Hypertension is seeking a board-certified/board eligible academic nephrologist with outstanding clinical acumen who will support the clinical practice, carry out his or her own research activities, and contribute to trainee education. The organization and the Division of Nephrology & Hypertension is placing significant emphasis on expanding research activities in Arizona. In that last 5 years, staffing and publications authored by members of the Division have doubled.  Candidates engaged in research or looking to expand their research interests will have opportunities to collaborate with colleagues investigating complex diseases and conditions.  The successful candidate will receive an academic appointment with Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.  

Mayo Clinic Arizona is making significant investments in both the physical and technological future of health care, through doubling the size of the Mayo Clinic campus in Phoenix, inclusive of practice, education, and research activities.  Specific to research, from 2022 to 2023, Mayo Clinic Arizona continued its rapid pace of research growth seen over the past several years, including a:

52.3% increase in extramural research funding 24% increase in active R01 grants 47% increase in technology disclosures 

In October of 2024, a new, 150,000 square-foot Integrated Education & Research Building will open on the Phoenix campus to support future growth plans.
