Academic Neuroradiologist - On-Site/Hybrid

Tufts Medical Center, the Department of Radiology, is seeking an Academic Neuroradiologist to join our faculty. Our role offers flexible work schedules tailored to our Radiologist’s needs including on-site and hybrid options, 7-days on, 7-days off, and incredibly competitive compensation structures.

Department of Radiology Overview:

Integrated Healthcare: The Neuroimaging Division is a collaborative and inclusive team of subspecialty-trained neuroradiologists with adult and pediatric neuroradiology, head and neck radiology, spine, brain and functional MRI expertise. Our radiologists perform more than 170,000 exams annually.

Research: Our radiologists consistently seek out innovative applications for imaging technologies. They also engage in active collaboration with their colleagues at Tufts MC, who are involved in clinical research on various diseases that incorporate imaging, such as osteoarthritis and fatty liver disease.

Subspecialties: The Department of Radiology is home to multiple subspecialties, including Neuroradiology.

Faculty: Most of our Radiology Faculty are active in basic, clinical and translational multidisciplinary research.

Collaboration: Interests in research or scholarly interdepartmental collaboration are encouraged and supported by institutional resources, mentorship, and academic time. Academic appointment will be at a rank commensurate with training and experience. Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for approximately 30-40 reads per day, and light Neuro intervention procedures, namely lumbar puncture, myelogram, and intrathecal chemotherapy injection, as needed. Additionally, you will work closely with our residents, fellows and attend multidisciplinary conferences with Tufts University School of Medicine.  

Community Setting. Provide general or subspecialty gastroenterology-based care to the patient population.

Teamwork. Collaborate and partner with established multi-disciplinary teams

State of the art. A first-of-its-kind 3.0 Tesla MRI (Philips 3T 7700) with ultrafast MR imaging informed by deep learning (AI) reconstructions, an additional 3.0 Tesla magnet, and a new 1.5 Tesla MR. Two dual-source, dual-energy Siemens Force CT scanners. One Siemens AS 64 CT scanner with an IR guidance package.

Flexible Work Hours Available:

Regular duty hours: 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays, with weekend call (8 am to 5 pm).

Regular duty hours: 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays only. No weekend call.

7 days on, 7 days off (Monday to Sunday), Neuro only, 8 am to 5 pm.

4-day work week (2 days of weekdays plus Saturday & Sunday), Neuro only, 8 am to 5 pm.

Requirements: 

Candidates must hold an MD, DO, MB BS, MB BCh, or an equivalent degree

Board eligibility/Board certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or AOBR

Fellowship in Neuroradiology

CAQ certified (or plan to be certified) in Neuroradiology

Candidates must have a medical license or be eligible in Massachusetts

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in building an academic career at the major teaching hospital affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine. You will join an academic faculty involved with the training of radiology residents and fellows, as well as multidisciplinary tumor board conferences with Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Head & Neck Surgery.

Compensation:

The Department of Radiology Tufts Medicine offers an incredibly competitive salary commensurate with academic training and practice experience. A Tufts University School of Medicine appointment will be offered commensurate with academic qualifications.
