Seeking an Academic Program Administrator for a new master’s program under the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Biophysics. The individual will participate in and contribute to steering committee meetings for design of the program curriculum and faculty teaching assignments. This will also involve preparation for and some independent decision making related to submission of the program proposal for school-level and university-level approvals.
The Academic Program Administrator will oversee all operational aspects of the new program, including but not limited to scheduling rooms for courses and thesis committee meetings, seminars, progress report seminars, and teaching faculty meetings. Responsible for the coordination of program courses, managing Blackboard, course scheduling, syllabi, and entering grades. There will be a significant focus on outreach and recruitment efforts including design or drafting of advertisements to target prospective students. The individual will also oversee the admissions processes; ensure graduate student records are updated; organize and manage Program events and perform general office duties; maintain faculty, students and departmental files.
The successful candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality for sensitive records, and the flexibility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
