Academic Recruiting & Outreach Manager - Department of Chemical Engineering

The Department of Chemical Engineering is seeking a dynamic Academic Recruiting & Outreach Manager. This is an excellent opportunity if you thrive in an exciting, diverse, and challenging work environment. We are looking for someone who has phenomenal interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving initiative and reasoning skills, and a commitment to serve.

In this role, you will have the ability to prioritize work and balance multiple tasks simultaneously; interpret requests and tackle issues independently; work well with others and as part of a team.

Core responsibilities will include:

Recruiting

Manage and develop recruiting and outreach for academic programs.Coordinate admissions process for prospective studentsCoordinate campus visits, department tours, and program information sessionsPartner with communications team on marketing and outreach strategyServe as partner for strategic goals in recruiting and enrollment.

Events

Coordinate April Yield engagement activities and eventsHandle graduate programs on-site visit events.Attend conferences and other outreach events.

Additional Responsibilities

System interface with Slate, SIO, Canvas, and TableauServe on Chemical Engineering Academic and Alumni CommitteesRepresent the program on various university or college committees.Coordinate periodic reporting on placement and enrollment.Other duties as assigned.

Ability to build relationships with many types of organizations and campus partners.High level of professionalism and strong leadership skillsConflict management skillsExcellent communication, verbal and written, as well interpersonal relationship capabilities.Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Outlook

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.At least 3 years of experience in academic admissions and/or academic recruiting required; prior experience in an engineering organization preferred.Ability to travel domestically.Social media management experience
