Job Summary
OSU - Cascades is seeking an hourly Academic Wage: Hourly: Research Program Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, fixed-term position. This position is anticipated to last approximately three months.
This position is located in Bend, Oregon.
The purpose of the position is to complete qualitative and quantitative data analysis on a longitudinal program evaluation of an Outdoor Education program at a large international school in SE Asia. The PI of the project is faculty in the psychology department and seeks specific expertise in assisting with the completion of the evaluation. The program evaluation informs work in the fields of psychology and outdoor education on connection with nature, psychological well-being and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
40%:Conduct longitudinal data analysis of interviews and surveys that have been conducted over a 10-year period by the Outdoor Education program at the United World College of Southeast Asia ( UWCSEA ).
40%:Work with the PI to interpret and summarize program evaluation findings in a final (100+ page) report.
20%:Travel to Singapore to present findings of the program evaluation and communicate with faculty and administration at UWCSEA as needed.
What You Will Need
PhD in outdoor education, recreation, parks, and leisure studies, or related fields. Experience conducting research in outdoor education. Experience as an outdoor education instructor.

Experience conducting research in outdoor education in Southeast Asia. Experience as an outdoor education instructor in Southeast Asia.
Experience working effectively with diverse groups of students, researchers, and staff in an outdoor educational setting.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
Computer-based data analysis from home office, as needed. Flexible hours. Travel to Singapore to present program evaluation findings in May or June 2025.

Pay Period 16th - 15th of the following month
