Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces and civilians deployed around the world under KBR’s Strategic Army Portfolio. KBR’s enduring mission support of the DoD Armed Forces dates back to 1992 when we served as the Army’s original prime contractor for its Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP). Today, we have a workforce of ~5,000 people representing 30 nationalities who perform work in 10 countries. Under the Agriculture Cleaning and African Swine Fever (ASF) Sanitization (ACAS) contract; KBR will manage and perform the receipt, storage, maintenance, cleaning and sanitation of vehicles and property.
Job Summary
As a Materials Coordinator, you will lead the procurement related tasks, ranging from routine to complex, to support program objectives. The ideal candidate will perform administration activities that use site inventory management information and activities to facilitate adequate inventory levels are available to meet DMO performance metrics. Under PSM supervision, this individual will work closely with Procurement Support Center and Site Management to support the project’s contractual Demand Maintenance Order (DMO) performance requirements.
The role of a Materials Coordinator (MC) is to provide onsite coordination efforts between local vendors, the site management, and the back-office Procurement & Subcontracts Support Center. The primary responsibility of the MC is to establish a local base of supply parts that support the DMO maintenance requirement, perform local sourcing in coordination with trades and crafts, evaluate vendors, facilitate Purchase Orders and parts tracking, and enable the establishment of blanket ordering agreements.
Please note: This position will be located on-site, in multiple countries across the Eastern EU and is contingent upon award.
Roles and Responsibilities
Act as an interface between the Site Craft/Trades, and Operations Management, Materials Management and PSM Leadership.Monitor inventory levels and suggest inventory strategies. Identify and coordinate with Procurement Support Center the materials that can be ordered on a Purchase Order; facilitate development of Blanket Ordering Agreements (BOA).Authorized to use Purchasing Card (PCard) if/when needed to support the site and DMO performance metrics. Follow proper procedures in utilizing the PCard and CostPoint entries are timely, accurate, and coordinated with the Procurement Support Center.Perform local sourcing to expand vendor list, facilitate vendor registration, and provide performance feedback during vendor evaluation.Use site provided information on new material requirements; coordinate with Procurement Support Center and onsite management to ensure requirements are defined and inventory objectives are set.Monitor the progress of open Work Orders until completion.Assist Expediter to facilitate deliveries of DMO items.Be knowledgeable of the Prime contract terms and conditionsAssist with ensuring compliance with the established policies / procedures and uphold KBR safety and quality management protocols.Perform other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.Experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and purchasing.The position requires excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.Customer service oriented.Display competencies by analyzing possible solutions and using standard procedures.Proficient in the use of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
