Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces and civilians deployed around the world under KBR’s Strategic Army Portfolio. KBR’s enduring mission support of the DoD Armed Forces dates back to 1992 when we served as the Army’s original prime contractor for its Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP). Today, we have a workforce of ~5,000 people representing 30 nationalities who perform work in 10 countries. Under the Agriculture Cleaning and African Swine Fever (ASF) Sanitization (ACAS) contract; KBR will manage and perform the receipt, storage, maintenance, cleaning and sanitation of vehicles and property.
Job Summary
As a Tactical Vehicle Mechanic, you will perform maintenance on various light and heavy vehicles such as JLTV, Stryker, MRAP Variants- RG-33, Buffalo, Cougar, MaxxPro, and M-ATV.
Please note: This position will be located on-site, in multiple countries across the Eastern EU and is contingent upon award.
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Removing and replacing sub-assemblies, components, and body armor to support Agricultural Cleaning and Sanitization processes.
+ Removes, cleans, and reinstalls batteries and battery boxes, and provides mechanical support for pulling power packs from tracked, non-battle damaged military vehicles.
+ May conduct technical inspections, acceptance checks, and prepares necessary logs and documentation to maintain vehicle readiness.
+ Guides laborers in cleaning vehicle interiors and exteriors for Agricultural Cleaning and Sanitization, while maintaining accountability for tools and equipment.
+ Participates in the company's Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and QA program by engaging in cross-training sessions.
+ Supports additional maintenance activities related to heavy and light tracked vehicles as needed.
+ Compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards remains a priority, alongside conducting daily inventory of tools and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
+ Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a NACI. Due to this, you must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Green Card holder who has lived within the United States for at least the last 3 years to be eligible for this position.
+ Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of directly related experience.
+ Must be able to work under stressful circumstances and meet shorts suspense dates.
+ Must be physically capable of performing the work in conditions of extreme temperatures, low humidity, rain and blowing sand and dust.
+ Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds unassisted.
+ Must be able to team lift up to 50 pounds in a two-person carry.
+ Must be able to stand, stoop, crawl and climb as necessary to perform job functions using proper techniques and PPE for extended periods to include confined spaces.
+ Must be free of medical restriction/limitations that prevent the wearing and utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
+ Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a military operator’s permit for each type of vehicle or equipment required to operate.
+ Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
