UTLX/Procor is a platform within Marmon Rail and is part of Marmon Holdings which is owned by Berkshire Hathaway.  We have a portfolio of three businesses in North America (tank car leasing, repair and manufacturing).

POSITION OBJECTIVE: 

The Accounting Operations Platform Leader at UTLX/Procor plays a pivotal role in the financial operations of the organization, with the team’s primary focus on accounts receivable, cash application, credit, billing and accounts payable / T&E. With revenues of approximately $1.3 billion, this position is key to ensuring sustainable profitable growth.  There will be three direct reports with a total team of fifteen.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as the key leader in the development of the accounting operations road mapResponsible for leading system and process improvement across the organization, especially in the areas of Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications, Credit, Billing and Accounts Payable / T&E.Ensure efficient day-to-day accounting operations across the finance organization through the management and execution of best practices in processes and systemsDevelop unified desktop procedures across the organization to enable better training across the organizationDrive the implementation and enhancement of tools and technology in partnership with our systems teamProvide critical input to members of senior management regarding the operational performance of the finance team, including recommendations for action and collaboratively developing operating policies and procedures to enable the attainment of corporate and business objectivesDevelop and report key operational metrics indicating the health of the finance operationsSupport all M&A finance operations integrationsLeading, motivating, developing, and retaining a high-quality teamDevelop reporting KPIs, including operational and financial metricsServe as a strategic business advisor and prepare ad-hoc reports and special analyses to facilitate management’s ability to understand business issues and driversImplement internal controls and maintain SOX compliance

Position requires some travel (10%).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

15+ years of progressive growth in financial management roles in high growth companies10+ years in a finance operations role, leading various finance operations functionsHave built and led a world class Accounting Operations functionHave built and executed against a vision for a newer functionStrong interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset a mustCPA / MBA preferred

Pay Range:

120,000.00 - 200,000.00
