Accelerator Recruitment Associate -Healthcare Accelerator
**Job Description** The Accelerator Associate is responsible for engaging promising and diverse healthcare startups to engage and participate with the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator or the broader investment group at CSHS. This role supports the entire lifecycle of the investment selection process. As such, the critical role includes researching companies, analyzing appropriate financials, and performing thorough due diligence on companies to fully understand their business offerings. As a key member of the Department, the role will interact with various levels of leadership both internal and external to the Department. **Primary Duties & Responsibilities** + Conduct general research on specific companies to gauge interest and eligibility for the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator or Investment Group. Conducts thorough market sector analysis with identified companies to determine areas of interest specifically within digital health, healthcare IT, medical devices, life sciences. + Performs preliminary financial analysis to understand the feasibility of a future investment and working relationship with potential identified companies. + Meets with CSHS internal department leaders to build a pipeline of companies for future accelerator/investment opportunities. + Develops a network of entrepreneurs, investors, and thought leaders to support the growth of the Department. + Manages logistics as needed during the due diligence process. Coordinates efforts and feedback with various business leaders within the department. + Makes recommendations to leadership regarding companies to invite to participate in the Accelerator or other investment avenue. + Reviews and optimizes the review processes, including management of various application management software (CRM) and identify and implement any efficiencies needed. + Identify potential venture capital investors to build a pipeline of future investors for alumni portfolio of companies and/or current Accelerator participants. + Coordinates networking events that support expansion of diversity opportunities for investments into companies. Identifies gaps in healthcare/service and determines priority recruitments based on predetermined criteria. + Represents the department at various networking conferences and events. Events are typically conducted with internal and external audiences. External audiences may include corporate partners, start-up employees, government officials and foreign dignitaries. The Associate will be responsible for maintaining communication with these audiences using various mediums of information (emails, phone calls, LinkedIn messaging, Slack and other platforms as identified). **Qualifications** **Educational Requirements:** High school diploma/GED required Bachelor's degree in Communications, Social Services or related degree preferred **Experience:** + Two years experience in market research, preferably in Healthcare required + Two years experience in Business Development or sales in Healthcare or Healthcare Ventures required + Two years experience with Venture Capital firm or Venture Funding preferred + One year experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications, Familiarity with varying systems such as Affinity, Crunchbase, Pitchbook, AngelList, MailChimp, Sales Force, SquareSpace, and /or CB Insights Familiarity with publications such as Becker’s Hospital Review, Angellist, Modern HealthCare and/or Advisory Board, Event Planning preferred. + One year experience with FDA process and other regulatory agencies (such as or Confirmite Europeenne (CE) preferred **Req ID** : 7976 **Working Title** : Accelerator Recruitment Associate -Healthcare Accelerator **Department** : Healthcare Accelerator **Business Entity** : Cedars-Sinai Medical Center **Job Category** : Strategic Plan / Business Dev **Job Specialty** : Strategic Planning **Overtime Status** : EXEMPT **Primary Shift** : Day **Shift Duration** : 8 hour **Base Pay** : $71,760 - $106,163 Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
