This is a time- limited paid internship funded by ACCES –VR that offers a work-based learning experience to assist students ages 14-21 prepare for competitive, integrated employment. Interns will paid at least minimum wage for the time they participate and will utilize this opportunity to explore a variety of career paths to acquire transferable and marketable job skills consistent with their career goals and vocational interests.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions
Students will build confidence and learn essential skills in a job setting of their choice.Students will exhibit behavior that is appropriate for a work setting and should be able to be redirected with minimal intervention.Students are expected to be receptive to counseling and guidance about the importance of appropriate workplace behavior.Students are expected to be motivated to participate in the work-based learning program at the site they have chosen for internship completion.
