This position is responsible for working with Communications management in consulting Administration, directors and senior- level management staff to strategize, create and implement videography and photography. This position is also the lead on audio-visual equipment needs and works closely with the Project Coordination and Design Supervisor, reporting directly to the Creative Services Manager.The pay for this role starts out between $61,734.40 - $65,000.00, based upon experience, and benefits begin within 60 days of hire. About the PositionIn this role your job responsibilities will include...
Access Sarasota Team Supervisor
Serve as the Access Sarasota Supervisor overseeing the activities and functions of Access Sarasota team members.
Work with the Creative Services Manager and fellow supervisors to facilitate and organize Access Sarasota team’s workload and resources to best support the organization’s vision, mission and goals.
Provide routine analysis of activities/workload to management.
Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the county’s Access Sarasota services ensuring timely delivery of quality products/services.
Using HR guidance and forms, evaluate and report on team members performance to the Creative Services Manager.
Develop standards of practice for your team and operations, and with the approval of the Creative Services Manager, implement and enforce these SOPs for the team members to follow.
Develop and coordinate training opportunities for the team on software, hardware and equipment ensuring Access Sarasota maintains relevancy and current on technology and production of video elements and still photography.
Research and recommend cost-effective video production and still photography solutions for managements’ consideration and review.
Video Equipment Operations
Operate equipment including cameras, switchers, audio mixers, character generators, videotape players/recorders, editors, automated playback systems and other associated equipment to produce government access television programs including meetings, studio and field productions.
Serve as the audio visual equipment lead to ensure that all of the county’s audio visual equipment in control rooms, commission chambers and other areas are functioning properly.
Video Production, Graphics and Effects Design
Develop concepts, scripts, sets, locations, decision lists and all other necessary tasks to produce video programs or segments and still photography that communicate information about local government and county initiatives.
Work with staff from other units to produce video programs and materials that achieve county’s goals.
Develop or coordinate 2D/3D animation effects for television programs and video segments.
About the ScheduleWorking Hours:
Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
About YouMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Videography, Video Production, Mass Communication, or a related field -AND- Five (5) years of related work experience.
-OR- Master's degree in one of the above or related fields -and- Three (3+) years of related work experience.
-OR- Ten (10) years of related professional experience may substitute for the required education.
Valid Florida Driver's License by date of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior supervisory experience.
Experience managing/operating a government cable access channel.
Additional professional experience in operational management in sophisticated A/V operators or broadcast television production.
Physical Demands: Employees in this role must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
