The Accessibility Specialist will work as part of a team providing support in the Accessible Technology and S.508 compliance task area for the CISA OCIO. We actively strive to channel our highly engaged employee’s knowledge, critical thinking, innovative solutions for our clients. **Responsibilities** + Provide assessment, testing, customer support and technical assistance for Section 508 compliance for CISA products. + Develop and maintain Section 508 compliance and _Accessible Technology Program_ (ATP) program training, orientation, and educational materials. + Support the CISA agency use of semi and fully automated accessibility testing tools. + Support the CISA agency use of semi and fully automated accessibility testing tools. + _Testing and remediation of electronic content for accessibility including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, and PDFs._ + _Collaborate for the development of_ Service Level Agreements (SLAs), policy, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and best practices for IT Programs and Program managers and staff regarding the Section 508 and Accessible Technology Program _s_ . + Work in partnership with disability-related and equal opportunity-related programs and organizations, including CISA interest groups and the Office of Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Accessibility to ensure coordinated technology accessibility services for CISA employees. + Provide programmatic and technical assistance to respective employees, offices, and/or programs within CISA regarding the maintenance and use of accessible technology. + Perform assistive technology needs assessments for persons with disabilities + Evaluate new assistive technology for use within the CISA IT environment and track usage of such products within the CISA environment **Qualifications** _Minimum Qualifications:_ (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) + Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 3-10 years experience in the Accessibility and Section 508 Compliance field. + Knowledge of WCAG and Section 508 standards. + Experience using accessibility testing tools such as ANDI, JAWS, NVDA, and Adobe Acrobat Professional. _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_ + Experience implementing Section 508 compliance policies and procedures within a Federal Government agency. + Exeprience maturing an Accessible Technology Program that includes innovative training methods and broad stakeholder engagement strategies to deliver equal access to technology. + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Strong computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint Desired Qualifications: + DHS Trusted Tester certification, Version 5.0 (or later) desired + Exeprience Experience maturing an Accessible Technology Program that includes innovative training methods and broad stakeholder engagement strategies to deliver equal access to technology. _Final salary determination based on skill-set, qualifications, and approved funding._ Many of our jobs come with great benefits – Some offerings are dependent upon the role, work schedule, or location, and may include the following: **Paid Time Off** PTO / Vacation – 5.67 hours accrued per pay period / 136 hours accrued annually Paid Holidays - 11 California residents receive an additional 24 hours of sick leave a year **Health & Wellness** Medical Dental Vision Prescription Employee Assistance Program Short- & Long-Term Disability Life and AD&D Insurance **Spending Account** Flexible Spending Account Health Savings Account Health Reimbursement Account Dependent Care Spending Account Commuter Benefits **Retirement** 401k / 401a **Voluntary Benefits** Hospital Indemnity Critical Illness Accident Insurance Pet Insurance Legal Insurance ID Theft Protection **Teleworking Permitted?** Yes **Teleworking Details** 100% Remote **Estimated Salary/Wage** USD $98,875.29/Yr.
