About The Role

Reporting to the Employee Benefits Operations Lead, the role provides prompt, accurate and courteous service to support our client partners and their employees. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and organizational skills, a background n employee benefits or human resources, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: 

Maintain accurate client records and documents (per Account Manager instructions) in agency management system.

Enter/renew policies and service contracts for assigned clients in agency management system.

Assigned tasks to specified roles within automatically launched activities in agency management system.

Complete data projects to support the region as it pertains to agency management system records.

Execute administrative tasks and reports to support clients, the service team, and other internal departments with Compliance related projects.

Complete assigned tasks from the department queue/inbox in timely fashion.

Download/request carrier invoices, save/distribute as requested by client or internal teammate.

Prepare/manipulate data for census & carrier enrollment files for quote, new business submissions, and large enrollment projections.

Prepare enrollment audits and communicate findings to enrollment and service teams.

Process incoming Broker of Record letters, gathers new client benefit details and adds policy and commission information into agency management system.

Responsible for printing, binding of sales and renewal presentations and coordination of enrollment kid orders.

Assists with new plan implementations. Manages benefit enrollment and terminations, including COBRA qualifying event notifications.

Investigates and resolves complex service issues.

Performs regular billing audits and reconciliation.

Assists with HRIS/Ben Admin system implementation, renewal updates and testing/review.

Manages renewal data in agency management system for IFP, Life and micro groups.

Following instructions provided by the Account Manager, assist in creating/maintaining/printing Open Enrollment documents such as employee guides, enrollment forms and marketing collateral.

Preparing mail merge for client communications.

Preparing and delivering packages to delivery service.

Attend and complete any role relevant meetings, training sessions, or assignments as required.

Peer review benefit information prepared by Account Manager.

Perform other tasks or projects as requested by service team or region leadership.

 Assists the Account Management Team with day-to-day administrative needs such as claims and billing resolution and other service-related items.

Requirements: 

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation in correspondence. 

High degree of critical thinking; ability to problem solve when the answer is not readily apparent. 

Demonstrated attention to detail, producing outcomes with minimal errors. 

Understanding of insurance concepts and applicable law as it related to employee benefits. 

Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced environment. 

Ability to demonstrate advanced level proficiency with a variety of technology including MS Office 

Works well with minimal supervision; able to function independently and as part of a team. 

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or recognized equivalent is required.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in employee benefits industry or human resources is required.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast paced, professional office setting is required.

Previous insurance experience is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred, or equitable experience. 

L&H license required.
