Account Coordinator (Entry Level)
Location: Detroit Metropolitan Area ** This position is a hybrid PR/social role with some in-office work required. Candidates must be able to work from the Detroit office weekly.
We’re looking for a recent graduate to join our Detroit team as an Account Coordinator. This is a full-time, permanent position at FINN Partners. Candidates should have six months+ relevant internship experience. This position is a hybrid PR/social role with some in-office work required. Candidates must be able to work from the Detroit office weekly.
Job Summary: As an Account Coordinator on our team, you will be responsible for supporting multiple client accounts, building and maintaining media lists, establishing media relationships, engaging influencers, supporting social media strategy and execution, conducting industry research, and drafting media materials. We’re looking for candidates who demonstrate strong communication and time management skills and showcase an ability to manage deadlines consistently.

Responsibilities
Compile comprehensive, targeted media lists, work with team members to pitch media and secure traditional and social media placements Monitor, track and report traditional and social media outlets for coverage of client news and competitor developmentsIdentify trade reporters, business reporters and influencers relevant to the clientProactively consume traditional and social media outlets that are relevant to client businessWrite, proof and edit client-related documents based on outline or direction from supervisor; may include pitches, press materials and meeting reportsSupport social media content planning, social listening, trend-spotting, and community managementPrepare initial draft of client updates, as needed and requested; deliver error-free written communicationResearch industry or program-relevant topics efficientlyStay informed on the latest trends in digital and social media communicationsQualifications
At least six months internship experience in public relations or related marketing communications field preferredUnderstanding of public relations, social media and marketing communicationsCreative writer with solid understanding and proficiency with multiple writing styles, including business communications and AP styleExcellent written, verbal communicationStrong organizational and time management skillsResults driven with the ability to manage multiple deliverables against deadlinesProactive and collaborative, able to operate effectively independently and with a teamDesire and eagerness to learn and grow
