The Account Development Manager is a creative, results-driven individual responsible for territory sales performance results. The Account Development Manager position requires a combination of sales experience, customer focus, drive, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Responsible for achieving sales quota for assigned territoryMaintain focus on strategic high margin business < $60K Define and oversee the communication life cycle of your customer group within the assigned area, not limited to email and phone communication, strategic marketing campaigns, cross-sell of distribution and ancillary products and services, and moreTake ownership for the business segment under your leadership, and manage the escalation process to management and senior management utilizing independent latitude and judgment alongside company-based approval criteriaIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement as a champion for your customersManage a tremendously diverse set of administrative internal processes, becoming an expert on delegating to appropriate departments and negotiating with other internal customers to accomplish the desired outcomes for your customerCompletes general reporting on the territory activity in relation to quote status, planning and sales analysis as needed and requested by management in Salesforce.comEnsures overall exceptional customer satisfaction is being delivered to strengthen and grow the business relationshipLead generation and prospecting will be requiredLead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell calibration services. Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1-2 years of experience selling products and servicesExperience with B2B salesStrategic Selling alumni (not required, but a strong plus)Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skillsWord, Excel, Salesforce3+ years driving experience with a valid driver's license and acceptable driver history

Physical Demands

Employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Education and/or Experience                                                  

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years of business-to-business service sales experience, preferably in an industrial environment requiring some technical aptitude. Experience in working with compliance requirements of quality systems.  Calibration service sales preferred but not mandatory. 

 

Working Environment and Travel

Office environment, travel to National Service Meetings (up to 10%)
