Freese and Nichols is seeking a Account Director for one of our Central Texas offices (Austin, San Antonio, San Marcos). As Account Director, you will be responsible for the overall client development the Central Texas region, marketing all Freese and Nichols practices for our municipal, county, water district/river authority, transportation agency, airport, and rail/transit agency clients. You will partner with clients to create and develop projects and opportunities. You will lead strategic planning and coordinate with operational groups and practices on targeted approaches. This position is 75% external sales and 25% internal sales.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop relationships and serve as the point of contact and liaison for customersConduct client-facing interactions. Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients via email, phone, and in-person.Conduct market research to identify new business development opportunitiesAssist in implementing Freese and Nichols sales strategiesDevelop relationships with identified key and strategic client accountsMay serve in one or more client representative roles Coordinate, assist, and attend client events, meetings, appointments, and conferencesOversee preparation of presentations for internal sales teams and external clientsPrepare, attend, and participate in sales presentations such as lunch and learns, brown bags, and training May supervise activities and tasks of identified Business Development staff Execute on the Key and Strategic Account ProgramCoordinate with accounting to report on financial metrics such as bookingsIdentify areas and processes for improvement or efficiencyRepresent Freese and Nichols through involvement in related industry professional organizations and/or community leadership rolesDevelop teaming strategies for specific opportunitiesQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Planning, Engineering, or a related field12+ years of experience in related fieldDemonstrated, strong experience working with municipalities/local government entitiesAbout Freese and NicholsAt Freese and Nichols, everyone on our team gets to make a meaningful difference in our communities.
