We’re looking for an ambitious Account Director Tech to join our Amsterdam team and play a lead role in spearheading our rapid is a full-service communications agency that drives meaningful conversation for ambitious brands. With deep expertise in strategy, media relations, creative and production, we bring campaigns to life across all channels with a focus on ideas that are earned at heart, and social by design. This year has been the biggest yet for Edelman globally – with a record breaking 16 Cannes Lions including the Titanium Lion.
As Account Director Tech you will not only lead award-winning account teams driving work for top-tier clients, you will be closely involved in driving pitches and new business opportunities that will further define our next chapter of growth. Your focus will be on our tech practice and our client portfolio operating in the B2C and well as B2B tech space. Your day-to-day will be a mix of client service, creativity and international collaboration across our many Edelman offices worldwide. We’re part of the largest independent communications agency in the world with extended teams and services across 60+ offices globally.


Role and responsibilities:Client Leadership -  You are experienced running, overseeing and developing (multi-market) campaigns for a portfolio of clients, preferably in tech. Building trusted client relationships and successfully leading projects from brief to execution.New Business – You have an eye for identifying areas of growth and are confident leading new business pitches including developing RFI / RFP proposals and formal pitch meetings.Senior Counsel – You’re the trusted sparring partner and sounding board to clients comfortable guiding and advising on communications and marketing including PR, digital, social and content creation in collaboration with our expert teams.Creative Excellence – You’re a driving force to stand out client programmes and integrated creative campaigns; with experience working and advising across all touchpoints. [BvG1] Team leadership – It’s your second nature to lead a portfolio of accounts and manage multidisciplinary teams, developing team members and stimulating personal and professional development and growth at all times.Financial forecasting & management – You’re experienced forecasting, planning and reporting on finances, ensuring your accounts run smoothly and on-budget.  
What we’re looking forPassion for technology brands and proven expertise in the Dutch and international tech (media) landscape, both from a B2C as well as B2B perspective. Strong, proven track record of (Dutch) media-relations,-expertise and significant strategic local/global communications work with creativity and earned at its core for technology brands. Proven client service experience in managing multi-level stakeholders, complex projects from scoping to delivery and reporting. Experience working with and maintaining significant budgets, pulling together detailed budget plans, and demonstrating an understanding of client financial models, targets and financial reporting. Proven ability in identifying areas of growth and opportunity for clients as well as successfully leading pitch processes from RFI/RFP to pitch presentations.Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and unite teams behind a central concept, with experience of successfully selling in those concepts to clients and seeing them through to execution.Excellent writing skills, including experience writing and pitching press (releases) as well as the ability to provide clear and comprehensive feedback on documents to junior members.Bonus points if you bring experience working on brands in one or more of the following industries: FMCG, (Consumer) Tech and Health.#LI-LV2
