We are seeking an Account Executive to join our growing Consumer Health and Wellness team! Consumer health or brand-related PR experience preferred.
Edelman’s Wellness team sits at the cross-section of Health and Brand, helping to evolve, promote, and protect some of the world’s most iconic and celebrated brands. We aspire to do work that moves people – work that inspires people to not only “buy in” to brands, but also buy. Edelman’s Wellness team provides a wide array of communications services to a diversified portfolio of clients including major consumer healthcare companies, wellness brands, and non-profit & public health organizations. By employing innovative and thoughtful strategies, the Wellness team develops integrated brand campaigns that help our clients promote their brands, protect their reputations and license to operate, and influence public perceptions.
The Account Executive will have the ability to learn and deploy a wide variety of communications skills to a single, but diversified, industry that is of fundamental importance to individuals and society at large. Furthermore, employees will hone their communication skills alongside colleagues who have deep expertise at the intersection of brand, health, and public relations.Responsibilities:Contribute to the creation of communications plans and materials that meet client objectivesManage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherenceBuild relationships with clients and colleagues at all levelsConsistently produce high-quality internal and external communications content often under tight timelines and with competing priorities Coordinate client touchpoints, helping to set the agenda and provide action-oriented recapsDemonstrate tactical proficiency in media relations, including creating and driving both traditional and social media outreach plans and owning media monitoring needs to identify and draft flags of relevant newsCommit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goalsPossess a solid understanding of the current consumer brand, health and wellness landscape, and topical issues Supervise staff junior to you by motivating, coaching, and consistently providing feedbackAid in new business processes including idea contribution, research, and proposal preparationDemonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values (Quality, Integrity, Respect, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Mutual Benefits) and Code of Ethics and Business ConductBasic Qualifications:At least 1 year of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media, and publishing.A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experiencePreferred Qualifications: A solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they are used as well as solid research, writing, and editing skills. They should have the ability to develop relationships with media and apply experience and initiative in developing traditional and digital media relations strategies. Interest/experience in consumer health and wellness is a plus.$42,000 - $62,000 a yearAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.#LI-BG3
