About This Job The main purpose of this job is to spend time prospecting and negotiating with suppliers on behalf of our current clients Essential Functions + Engage suppliers through outbound calling efforts to develop relationships, create solutions, and acquire new volume through closing sales using a consultative approach + Ability to overcome objections and illustrate the value, navigate complex receivable conversations, and discuss interchange pricing to problem solve and make profitability decisions in real time + Research and data mine the supplier enablement portfolio to seek sales opportunities + Create innovative approaches to present value within diverse business verticals + Ability to take continued learning mindset for creative sales approach + Meet or exceed sales goals outlined by the Commercial Card Specialty Sales Manager to drive revenue and profitability + Build rapport across multiple business lines to create communication lines that strengthen and enhance the buyer and supplier relationship + Carry a working understanding of Commercial Card, Card Companies Operating Rules, Regulations, Interchange requirements as well as various methods of processing + Perform other duties as assigned Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities + Strong ability to consult with clients on strategic payment strategies to drive sales goals to the bottom line + Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to learn quickly and apply discretion and sound judgement to solve problems efficiently and effectively + Ability to learn or have experience in using SalesForce.com or another sales focused CRM + Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail with an ability to manage multiple priorities to achieve results + Drive results and balance management of organizational risk and meeting goals of the business + Inquisitive, agile, excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills + Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and core values + Comfortable in dialogue with “C” level executives + Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Office application suite Education & Experience + Associates degree in business administration, accounting, finance or equivalent combination of education and experience + 2+ years B2B sales, merchant bankcard sales, prospecting, and contract negotiation required + Network of relationships with Payments focus preferred **Level of role is determined by knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education ***For individuals applying, assigned and/or hired to work in areas with pay transparency requirements, Commerce is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for some roles. This compensation range is for the Account Executive I, II, and Senior – Specialty Payments job and contemplates a wide range of factors that are considered in determining most appropriate job level and making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location, skill sets, education, relevant experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $26.25 to $39.90 per hour.
