IDC's Americas Growth Sales Team is looking for an Account Executive who will focus on selling IDC's research, data, events and custom consulting products. This position is ideally based in the North East, but we will consider qualified candidates on the continental US. Why IDC? IDC is the most respected global technology market research firm. Responsibilities Account management with outcome of increased overall YoY Total BookingsProficiency in account planning and territory managementAccurate daily activity reporting, and monthly/quarterly/annual forecastingLearn IDC products and services, that align with your territory, accounts, and competitorsHelp clients get the most value out of their market research investment and will focus on renewing contracts, business retention, and account growthCommunicate, coordinate, and collaborate with other internal IDC stakeholders to continue to develop opportunities within account base Qualifications 3+ years of quota carrying technology related sales experience, along with strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skillsStrong cold-calling experienceThe ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing both existing and prospect accounts while developing high level relationshipsAdditionally, this person will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, and collaborative, as well as be a self-starter and a quick-thinkerThis position requires strong time management and organization skillsPrior market research industry sales experience is helpful, but not required

At IDC, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. We pay our employees equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience. Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $200,000 - $205,000 and is inclusive of base salary and commission.
