Are you a self-starter with a knack for hunting down new business opportunities? We’re on the lookout for a dynamic individual to join our eprocurement team as an Account Executive, focusing on cultivating relationships and driving growth in targeted verticals of procurement software and in the midmarket SLED (state, local, education) space.
What will your main responsibilities look like?
In this role, you will be led to:
Sales Strategy: Creation and execution of territory sales strategies.Opportunity Identification: Identify and prioritize potential clients within the midmarket segment of the US public sector, including counties, municipalities, school boards, special districts, and other government entities. Work closely with the SDR and Marketing teams.Business Development: Actively participate in trade shows, conferences, and related activities to expand our market presence.Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs assessments and engage in consultative selling to understand clients’ procurement challenges, objectives, and requirements.Solution Presentation: Present our procurement technology solutions effectively to key decision-makers, demonstrating how our offerings can address their specific needs and deliver value.Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and prospects through proactive communication, follow-up, and personalized engagement.Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiation efforts, overcome objections, and work collaboratively with clients to finalize agreements and close deals in a timely manner.Pipeline Management: Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurately forecasting opportunities and tracking progress in our CRM system.Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes impacting the midmarket segment of the US public sector, and leverage this knowledge to drive sales strategy.What elements of your professional background will be necessary and useful in this role?
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.Minimum of 5 years in B2B software sales.Knowledge of the procurement tools. The procurement space is a bonus.Proven track record of success in a sales role, with a focus on selling software solutions or technology services.Experience selling into the US public sector, particularly within the midmarket segment (counties, municipalities, school boards, special districts, etc.).Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and compellingly.Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with a proven ability to navigate complex sales cycles and drive deals to closure.Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and other sales tools.Excellent proficiency in English, French is a bonus.Listening Skills: A keen listener with the ability to identify opportunities aligned with the client’s needs.Autonomy & Resourcefulness: Structured, autonomous, and self-starting approach with a knack for creative problem-solving.Team Player: Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to cover a large geographical region.Our offer:
