Account Executive

We are currently seeking an Account Executive to join our Employee Benefits Department. This position provides full-service account management to clients in the Employee Benefit Department.  Manages accounts for all health and welfare plans including medical, dental, short and long term disability, vision, life/AD&D, travel accident, voluntary benefits and long term care.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

Account maintenance, including updates to client files, scanning and attaching of plan documents, and updating Employee Benefits systems and databasesAssisting with marketing proposals, paperwork, and presentation preparationRevising, editing, and binding presentation materials as neededDay to day contact for client  Develop strong relationshipsResolve claims and administrative issuesAct as liaison with insurance carriers and as an advocate for clientsDesign benefit plan in conjunction with client needs and financial resourcesProcess renewals, including competitive bidding, providing cost effective plan design alternatives and employee contribution scenariosPrepare spreadsheets and renewal presentations as appropriatePrepare summary plan descriptions and other employee communication materialsProvide client with periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, or annually, as provided by insurer) to assess plan’s performance and as a tool for renewal planningCoordinate timely delivery of Schedule A information for 5500 preparation, as appropriateMaintain & manage client information through HUB’s Agency Management System & data standards

Minimum of 5 years experience in brokerage, consulting, insurance company, or corporate benefits environmentValid Life & Health License4 year college degree a plus or equivalent work experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsSuperb attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsProven ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline driven environmentProven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a teamProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookExperience with Employee Benefits systems and databases a plus (BenefitPoint, HR Connections & MYWave)

 

The expected pay range for this position is $85,000 a year to $105,000 a year and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and work location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits, and commissions for some positions.
