Account Executive
Job Summary
As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with state, local government, and education (SLED) clients. This role requires a combination of new business development and account management to drive revenue growth in Personal Systems and Print solutions. The ideal candidate has experience in technology sales, understands public sector procurement processes, and thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow a sales territory by identifying new opportunities and expanding existing relationships.
Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Engage with key stakeholders, including IT decision-makers, procurement teams, and leadership, to position HP solutions effectively.
Drive sales success by achieving and exceeding revenue and margin targets through direct sales, upselling, and cross-selling.
Lead client meetings and negotiations, presenting solutions and managing contracts to close deals.
Work collaboratively with internal teams and channel partners to develop winning sales strategies.
Analyze sales performance, track key metrics, and optimize sales strategies to maximize results.
Provide market insights by gathering intelligence on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs.
Conduct product presentations, workshops, and webinars to educate clients on HP’s solutions.
Qualifications
2-4 years of sales experience, preferably in IT solutions or technology sales.
Experience selling Personal Systems and Print products is a plus.
Strong hunter and farmer mindset with the ability to prospect, build, and maintain long-term client relationships.
Understanding of public sector procurement cycles, RFP processes, and government contracts.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom).
Ability to analyze sales data and adjust strategies to optimize performance.
Education
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

Salary:
The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $115,000 to $167,000 annually, with a 60/40 (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
