Account Executive - Financial Communications

We are looking for an Account Executive to join the growing team. The candidate will be part of our specialised team of financial communications practitioners, gaining broad exposure to Edelman senior leadership and supporting on all core account tasks, including research and analysis, issues and media monitoring, client collateral and document development, execution of social media and digital strategies, and media relations and outreach. This position is ideal for an individual looking to take part in a fast-paced, intellectually challenging environment and to acquire the skills necessary to become a successful financial communications practitioner and advisor to companies of all sizes and operating across all industries.  Responsibilities:Support in creation of communications plans and goals, including development of both tactical and strategic elements, and manage against themDrives and executes strategic media relations programsDemonstrates a comprehensive understanding of his/her clients’ businesses and their missions, as well as their key stakeholders: employees, investors, regulators, media, vendors, partners and other businesses/organizations, etc., and will be able to impart this knowledge to account team membersExcellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to delegate tactical assignments and accurately judge and edit work of othersServes as daily client support and support the client lead when appropriateParticipate in the quality and operational performance of accounts, ensuring work quality and deadline/budget adherenceBe a collaborative team member by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, and holding yourself accountableParticipate in new business process including research, proposal and pitch preparationDemonstrate behaviours consistent with Edelman’s values (Quality, Integrity, Respect, Entrepreneurial Spirit) and Code of Ethics and Business ConductSkills needed/desired:Excellent organisational skills, keen attention to detail and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlinesOrganised and detail-oriented; able to multi-task various responsibilitiesAbility to think critically and demonstrate good judgmentGood interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to work effectively within a team is a mustA solid knowledge of MS Office Suite, general office logistics and knowledge of supporting communications platformsStrong work ethic and dedication to consistently provide quality work to his/her team and clientsCandidates should be financially savvy and have relevant experience in financial communications and/or related experience in research, investment management, consulting, marketing, and financeBilingual in English and ArabicWe are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly align with every qualification, we encourage you to apply anyway.
