Account Executive for Classified Ads

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sales & Revenue Development

Support in meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets through classified ad placements and other products and programs across print, digital, and cross-platform channels. Assist in preparing revenue forecasts, tracking budgets, and aligning sales strategies with company financial objectives. Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through cold calling, lead generation, and consistent prospecting.

2. Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with advertisers, agencies, and walk-in clients, particularly for line ads and obituaries. Respond to inquiries and requests in a professional and timely manner to ensure client satisfaction. Assist in conducting client visits, follow-ups, and securing Purchase Orders (POs) to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.

3. Advertising Solutions & Proposal Development

Prepare and deliver customized advertising proposals and bundled ad packages based on client goals. Coordinate with internal teams (Marketing, Creative, Finance) to develop strategic media solutions with appropriate pricing structures. Prepare and present proposals confidently and close deals that align with client needs and company profitability.

4. Campaign Execution & Monitoring

Provide support in managing all stages of ad campaigns, from pre-sale planning to post-campaign reporting. Organize and update ad placements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full campaign delivery across platforms. Assist in collecting materials from clients/agencies and support in layout, proofreading, and correction of ad content and placements.

5. Administrative Tasks & Collection Support

Prepare and submit accurate daily sales reports, job orders, and contract documentation. Coordinate with the Finance team to monitor payments, verify received funds, and follow up on overdue accounts. Maintain complete and organized records of all client transactions and communications.

6. Cross-Platform Collaboration & Other Duties

Collaborate with internal departments including Ad Operations, IT, Marketing, and Production to ensure smooth ad delivery. Stay current with media trends, competitive activity, and evolving digital publishing practices. Participate in team planning, budgeting sessions, sales strategy development, and other assigned initiatives.
