Account Financial Manager II

Job Summary

The role of the Account Financial Manager (AFM) is to facilitate profitable financial decisions and drive financial improvement in the pre-production and production phasesof our business. This includes responsibility for Business Planning, Product Costing, Product Pricing, and Customer Interface on financial issues. The Account Financial Manager will act as the CFO ofthe program.

Essential functions of the job

Develop New Business Planswhich assess Return on Investment Develop Quotations for submission to Customers  Work with a complex BOM to understand and cost a product  Maintain costed BOMand cash flows for launch programs  Manage tooling and engineering cost and recovery  Update and maintain pricing/Purchase Orders with customers  Understand a variety of manufacturing processes and related costs  Develop competitive pricingstrategies  Develop proformas for new manufacturing facilities  Resolution of open commercial issues  Perform monthly financial updates for top management  Support and provide data for internal financial forecasting activities  Successfully Negotiate pricing with Customers  Establish cost targets for suppliers  Champion achievement of financial commitments  Champion product cost reduction efforts  Capital Appropriation Request preparation and submission

Required education:

Four-year college degree in Business or Finance; atechnical education, such as, engineering or program management will also be considered.  Advanced degree such as an MBA or professional accreditation (CPA, CMA) is preferred.

Required experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience related to financial management or cost management in a manufacturing environment Proven teamwork skills Negotiation skills (information gathering, analysis, strategies, tactics) Financial understanding of product cost (labor, burden, material, SG&A, profit) Automotive experience is preferred.
