The Opportunity:
The **Account Lead** plays a significant leadership role in delivering WSP’s aspiration to become the best in the industry, a trusted partner, and the first choice for clients. This role is accountable for managing the overall client relationship and elevating WSP to a position of trusted partner. Responsibilities include achieving growth targets, developing and executing the ‘One WSP’ account plan, and coordinating the activities of the wider account team across regions, business units, and services.
This role operates at a global ‘One WSP’ perspective, working closely with operations across all Business Lines and within the Global Oil and gas sector focused on the whole client portfolio with cross-selling and double-digit growth expectations. This position may sit out of any of the **WSP USA or Canada offices** .
The Client:
Enbridge Inc. is a multinational midstream O&G pipeline and energy company headquartered in Alberta Canada, with other key offices in Duluth MN and Houston TX. Enbridge owns and operates pipelines throughout Canada and the United States, transporting crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and renewable energy. Enbridge pipeline system is the longest in North America and the largest oil export pipeline network in the world. Its crude oil system consists of 28,661 kilometers (17,809 miles) of pipelines. Its 38,300 kilometers (23,800 mile) natural gas pipeline system connects multiple Canadian provinces, several US states, and the Gulf of Mexico. In 2024 Enbridge was one of WSP’s largest GCP Diamond O&G Account with Revenue split between Canada (60%) and the US (40%) with technical offerings inclusive of Environmental Remediation and Compliance Management, Geotechnical/Geohazard support, Environmental Planning and Permitting, Pipeline and Facility engineering design and indigenous relationship support.

What you can expect to do here:
+ **Client Development:** Own the strategy to build relationships, grow the account across WSP’s technical, advisory, and digital capabilities, and achieve double-digit organic growth.
+ **Capture Planning:** Understand the opportunity pipeline and ensure capture plans are developed for each opportunity. Build WSP’s reputation with client decision-makers and generate client advocacy within the client organization in advance of procurement.
+ **Securing Opportunities:** Lead selected pursuits, applying WSP’s work-winning processes and best practices. Engage during the Go/No-Go stage, following the Global Delegation of Authority and Intercompany Agreement policies.
+ **Project Mobilization:** Ensure a seamless handover from bidding to delivery phases to create a positive client experience from the start. Serve as the client’s “voice” within WSP, working collaboratively with delivery teams to seek and respond to feedback.
+ **One WSP:** Think like an enterprise leader, apply a collaborative and ‘can do’ mindset, and create a sense of common cause that motivates others and breaks down barriers.
**KEY SUCCESS MEASURES:**
+ Growth targets will be agreed annually in consultation with the GCP O&G Sector Lead and Director of Major Client Programs.
+ Targets will include a mix of financial and qualitative metrics to reflect client expectations and WSP priorities.
+ Other targets could include:
+ Backlog
+ Client Engagement
+ Client Feedback (scored and qualitative)
+ Margin
+ Pipeline value and/or growth (weighted + unweighted)
+ Win rate (by value + by count)
+ Account diversification and inclusion/collaboration across all WSP business units (cross-selling of new services)
What you’ll bring to WSP:
**Required Qualifications**
+ Experience within the Professional or Leadership career tracks reflecting the complexity of the account and the impact of the role on the business.
+ Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field to the A/E/C Industry
+ 15+ years of experience in an account leadership role.
+ Proven track record in client development, capture planning, and securing opportunities.
+ Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
+ Ability to work across regions, business units, and services.
