Account Lowes Program Manager

This is a remote position, the ideal candidate would reside in Pella, IA or Charlotte, NC

 

SUMMARY 

This position is a highly visible, strategic position that in conjunction with the Lowe’s Account Team, interacts with multiple functions at all levels of the organization, including Sr. Management, in the following areas:

 

Establish, sell, service, and maintain Retail Accounts that are fundamental to the corporate growth objectives. 

 

Provides direct support to the Lowe’s Account Team and Director.

 

Leads and manages in the following areas: new product roll-outs within the account, new pricing and program implementation, new sales initiatives, retail promotions, display upgrades, logistics solutions and daily problem resolution.

 

Preserves long term strategic partnership with retailer by engaging in development of program offerings to drive key business fundamentals for sales, share, and margin enhancements. Negotiations with retail account personnel to insure objectives are met and account concerns are resolved. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (Other duties may be assigned):

 

Daily communication key Business Associates (Sr Merchant, Associate Merchant, Pro and Services Teams, MST etc.) to help manage sales initiatives, customer program development, support display initiatives, advertising and promotional programs execution, and resolve escalated customer service concerns.

 

Supports annual review of marketplace in terms of competitor offering /programs and customer requirements in Lowe’s competitive environment


Builds relationships and collaborates with cross functional teams and external customers to develop, manage and drive account programs and projects. Manages Lowe’s Field Sales Communication and Field Sales Manager calls.

 

In partnership with the Lowe’s team members, responsible for key projects intended to meet sales and profitability objectives, including negotiating programs with the account and providing the internal Pella team to accomplish projects on time and on budget (such as coordination with Training, Operations, IT, Pella Customer Service, SPS, Finance, S&OP to complete the projects.)  

 

Responsible for executing projects that drive strategic value such as Omni-Channel, Pro/Contractor Business, IHC Initiatives etc. 

 

Responsible for coordinating support activities from Pella to drive Sales, Share and Margin at Retail account (Lowe’s) to insure various company disciplines are working together to meet account performance standards or requirements, including but not limited to Pella Days, Pro Corner, Product Launches, etc.

 

People leadership/management experience not required; however ability to coach directionally and influence cross-functionally is essential to success in this role.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's degree (B. A./B. S.) from four-year college or university; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  MBA preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS 

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Cognos Query.
