Account Manager, Data Centers

We are now seeking to add a passionate Account Manager to be based in Western Europe, with focus on the Data Center market.  As part of a global team the Account Manager, Data Centers, will drive sales within the Data Center market across Europe, with a focus on liquid cooling thermal management systems, developing positive customer relationships, increasing share of wallet, securing new opportunities to achieve sales growth targets, and provide exceptional service as part of our Data Center Sales team.

 

This role can be home-based across Western Europe, and will report to our US-based Director for Global Data Center Sales.  The role will involve regular travel throughout Europe, with occasional travel beyond.
 

Job Responsibilities

As our new Account Manager within Data Centers, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: 
•    Developing and executing targeted sales growth in line with overall Data Center strategy, with focus on identifying opportunities and securing new business
•    Delivering a value selling approach that support DPS goals of growth, revenue and strategic position in market
•    Working alongside cross-functional internal stakeholders to correctly align support and prioritisation
•    Coordinating and partner with internal stakeholders, including sales, service, engineering, and commercial colleagues, to ensure high levels of support and communication to assigned customers.
•    Coordinates commercial and technical presentations on current and new Danfoss products and their application
•    Conduct periodic business reviews with customers and Danfoss leadership to recognise success, quantify opportunity, identify gaps and lead actions to improve
•    Represent the voice of customer internally on topics such as price, product changes, forecasts, new product needs, performance metrics and other relevant topics
•    Accurate record-keeping, CRM reporting, and maintaining other sales-oriented documentation as required
•    Maintain awareness of market trends and ensuing opportunities within the Data Center market
 

Background & Skills

To thrive as our new Account Manager, Data Centers, we would anticipate you to demonstrate: 
 
•    Proven track record of sales success, preferably within the Data Center market
•    Ability to work in a global matrixed environment and fostering positive relationships with internal stakeholders
•    Commercial awareness and business acumen to prioritize growth initiatives that will have the greatest impact and value-add to the business
•    Excellent communication, coordination, and relationship skills, with a strong customer orientation and proactivity
•    Ability to work in global and multicultural environments to increase market share in a competitive setting.
•    Willingness to travel domestically and, if necessary, internationally.
•    Personal resilience, drive, and a “self-starter” mentality to work remotely with little supervision
•    Commercial insight and business acumen to maximise opportunity and realise goals
