Edelman’s Healthcare Practice is currently looking for an Account Manager to join our team, to play a role in leading integrated communications marketing campaigns, partnering with colleagues across Canada and around the globe.

The successful candidate will bring practical experience in health communications, strategic planning, messaging, and media relations. They should understand the regulatory landscape and possess the capability to advise clients on integrated strategic approaches spanning earned, owned, traditional, and digital media. Additionally, the candidate should showcase excellent writing skills, robust project management capabilities, and a proven track record of effectively executing client programs that tangibly contribute to business objectives.

Responsibilities Collaborate in the development and effective project management of integrated communications and marketing campaigns, ensuring both strategic and tactical implementation. Support with the day-to-day client relationships, managing program execution, offering strategic counsel, and ensuring efficient project and budget management. Proactively contribute to the growth of client accounts by collaborating with and mobilizing specialties and resources across multiple offices. Develop, write, and edit strategic communications plans with a comprehensive understanding of client business, marketing, and communication objectives. Craft and refine communications materials, presentations, and announcements to align with strategic goals. Contribute to media relations campaigns, demonstrating a strong working knowledge of the Canadian media market. Oversee program tracking and monitoring, delivering ongoing strategic analysis of program results, as well as an understanding of review platforms like Veeva. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Communications, Marketing or related discipline from an accredited college or university 3-4 years of relevant experience in communications marketing in the health sector; PR agency experience considered an advantage Excellent communication skills and experience providing counsel and recommendations on how the business is operated and managed A self-starter with a solid understanding of client business, objectives and what success looks like Proven earned experience – must know the Canadian media landscapes, have proven relationships with reporters and can think strategically about how to position a story to media Digital experience, including mapping and engaging influencers Strong account management skills and experience working on integrated programs Understanding of the nuances of pharmaceutical PR Knowledge of the Canadian regulatory environment; experience with PAAB and ASC considered an advantage Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and a variety of social media analytics tools Proficiency with MS Office, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is required.
