Because it’s with Hilton where we never forget the reason we're here: to delight our guests, Team Members, and owners alike\. **Position Statement** An Account Manager will proactively manage and grow Share of Wallet for Hilton Worldwide Sales managed accounts\. The role will look after these accounts on a national, international and global basis, where relevant and be accountable for the performance of their account portfolio\. They will be required to manage multiple segments including MICE and Corporate Transient\. They will create and communicate the account strategies in order to drive increased market share and demonstrate value to both internal and external customers\. **What will I be doing?** As the Account Manager, HWS \- Australasia, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: + The Account Manager will be responsible for a set number of accounts \(Account Portfolio\) to penetrate across all applicable segments of the business\. The activities will include managing transient RFP's, driving Group lead generation and business conversions, organising familiarisation trips and presenting to customers on new hotel openings\. + To develop Account Plan and direction for the account base in line with the company’s revenue strategies\. + Accountable for the delivery of the strategy and activities of their account portfolio\. + Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within current account portfolio\. + Execute strategic account development plans and support communication of key messages internally & externally\. + Develop strong relationships with key hotels that receive business from the account portfolio and understanding the hotels individually strategy\. **What are we looking for?** The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to perform the essential functions of the job: + Ability to direct collaboration among cross\-functional teams including external resources\. + Ability to analyse departmental financial data in order to make strategic and tactical decisions\. + Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritise and implement and adjust actions required to achieve functional goals\. + Strong problem solving skills including ability to address any issue in collaboration with others, identify and prevent potential problem\. + Proven understanding of client’s business, including business plans, competitive environment & distribution channels and product financials\. + Extensive understanding of local market and industry in order to make recommendations on how to achieve the targets\. + Experience in customer facing and revenue generating roles\. + Good understanding of sales process, tools, measurements and systems\. + Understanding of competition and marketing strategies\. + Strong persuading and influencing skills\. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team\. + Take calculated risks to achieve results in consultation with immediate supervisor and other relevant team members\. + Have good relationship management skills and presents the appropriate professional image to customers and external contacts\.
