Our Genomics Sales team is looking for a new talent (m/f/d), starting at the earliest possible time as Account Manager Genomics (m/f/d).
Location: remote and approx. 50% business travel
Territory: Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Saxony, Thuringia, Saxony-Anhalt
How you’ll add value
As Account Manager Genomics (m/f/d) you will be responsible for a designated territory working in cooperation with our clients, developing new clients and being part of the international Genomics / Multiomics Sales team.
What you`ll do
Represent GENEWIZ/Azena Life Sciences`Genomics service portfolio (NGS, Sanger Sequencing, Gene Synthesis).
Working in close cooperation with existing clients.
Active business development to extend the client portfolio.
Identify and convert leads.
Create sales strategy with the support of manager for territory.
Conduct marketing and sales independently in academic, biotech and pharma.
Conduct vendor shows, lunch and learns.
Expand the business, gain market share, and grow sales & order at expected margins.
Achieve annual/quarterly targets through successful promotion of all business technologies and capabilities within all modalities which are relevant to this account.
Provide technical support, leveraging technical specialists where needed, aligned with customer workflows and activities to develop, and support solutions that meet or exceed the customers’ expectations.
Prospecting, forecasting, generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, initiating, and planning customer visits at all levels of the customer organization.
Managing the sales funnel by using customer relationship management system (CRM/Salesforce) and project data bases (CLIMS).
Negotiating master agreements and contracts, including terms and conditions as well as facilitating tender responses, in conjunction with product sales specialists as needed.
Participating in national and international meetings, conferences, business meetings.
What you`ll bring
University degree in life sciences (Molecular Biology or equivalent) or relevant field.
Several years of commercial experience in a similar role.
Strong experience in territories sales planning.
You have a passion for sales.
Excellent market knowledge linked to genomic services (NGS, Sanger Sequencing, Gene Synthesis).
Proven track record in successfully closing sales opportunities.
Well versed in the application of sales techniques including upselling, cross selling, value positions, sales funnel management and solution selling.
Very good MSOffice skill and Sales Force would be an advantage.
Ability to communicate effectively in a global organization.
Sales-driven and highly motivated.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Energetic, pragmatic, business driven.
Organized and independent.
Team player.
Fluent in German and English.
