Job Description
As an Account Manager, OEM you will be responsible for a portfolio of OEM customers and prospects to develop relationships and create opportunities that yield profitable business. You will implement a sales strategy and plan to meet annual sales goals and grow market share. You must understand the OEM needs and market evolution and how OEMs align with the end-user business to provide products and solutions. You will report to the Sales Manager, OEM and be responsible for OEM relationships in Vancouver, British Columbia (Lower Mainland).
What You Will Do:Own the account strategy within assigned accounts and communicate to extended teams on an account-by-account basis.Establish executive level relationships within the customer base and understand customer processes, goals and organizational model.Follow the Rockwell Automation sales process: knows assigned accounts, plans for growth, maintain a healthy funnel, guide opportunities to closure and evaluates performance to goal.Provide application knowledge and industry expertise. Manage sales activities according to Rockwell Automation's outcome-based selling methodology.Collaborate with the North America OEM Segment Leaders.Qualify customer opportunities, engage the appropriate resources, and coordinate the solution design to improve the customer's decision process and presents solutions to the customer (value proposition).Coordinate Rockwell Automation account team, senior management and a technical engagement team (domain experts) to plan for and win identified opportunities.Maintain accurate assessment of target and opportunity funnel within the Dynamics Customer Relationship Management system.Teams with corporate Contracts and Negotiations group to come to terms with customers.Negotiate contract terms and conditions (T&Cs), pricing, discounts and allowances.The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceLegal authorization to work in the Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or Operations Management; additional business-related degree5+ years of experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, manufacturing operations, systems integration or an engineering firm, or graduate of the Rockwell Automation Sales Training Program.Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline or Operations Management.Prior experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, manufacturing operations, systems integration or an engineering firmExperience working with all levels of an industrial automation plant (customer) including VPs, plant engineers and OEM machine builders.Valid driver's license.Ability to travel within the territory 50% of time.This position is part of a job family. For this role, the Total Target Compensation is from $125,680 - $188,520 of which 70% is base salary and 30% is variable.
