**Location: Thailand, Malaysia and India**
**Permanent role** – Hybrid (mainly working from home) ideally within reasonable and acceptable commute distance to a GKN Automotive location
**Travel:** (25%-50% in Asia Pacific)

**What will you be doing in this role?**
Supporting the Account Director, Chinese OEMs, this newly created role for the Asia Pacific region will be critical in the future value creation and customer retention of our largest growing customer base. This means leading business development and key account activities on assigned customer accounts (Chinese OEMs in Asia Pacific) to establish effective strategic customer relationships & meet GKN Automotive Business objectives, ROIC & Margin targets. You will also be working closely with our GKN Automotive’s JV partner in China (SDS) to meet the company’s objectives. There will be additional Account Manager responsibilities to support non-Chinese OEMs within the region.
**You’ll have key responsibilities for:**
Developing your own objectives with your manager and achieving these through the implementation of strategic relationship management plans. You will manage key customer relationships, often through account teams, focused on resolving any issues to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
**Specific experience or behaviours that will set you up for success in this role:**
+ The ability to speak, write and read English and Chinese (Mandarin) is essential
+ Experience of championing customer focus internally within an international manufacturing environment
+ Experience of clarifying customer needs and requirements
+ Exposure to budgets/negotiations at regional level
+ Ambition (Quiet or Overt!) as this role will be taking you places in your career
+ Self-motivation: this will be a highly autonomous role, working remotely means your independence and proactiveness will keep you energized each day and able to structure your own diary
+ Experience of working for/with Chinese OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers is highly advantageous
