Our client is a national distributor of quality foods. They are looking for a full-time Account Manager to join their team based in the GTA. This is a hybrid role, with time spent on the road within your sales territory as well as time spent working from a home office.
The Account Manager’s main purpose is to drive sales for medium clients, build robust client relationships, and provide strategic insights into market trends. They are key to establishing client connections and opening market opportunities for the organization.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
Engaging with potential clients to introduce the company’s range of products Reaching out to leads via phone, email, and social media to initiate conversations Converting leads into sales by understanding customer requirements and offering appropriate products Achieving monthly and yearly sales targets set by the management team Establishing, developing, and maintaining positive business and customer relationships Providing after-sales support and gathering client feedback regarding products, services, and overall experience with the organization Identifying client challenges or sales challenges and opportunities to improve sales cycle Staying up-to-date and reporting on industry and market trends, competitor products/pricing Maintaining expertise in the company’s product range Identifying areas of product improvement and market shifts that may impact the organization’s product mix Providing actionable insights derived from data analysis to optimize account performance, ensuring profitability and driving growth Contributing to sales forecasting by providing accurate sales data and sharing market condition insights Participating in Sales Team activities practiced by the team (team meetings, etc.) Maintaining and coordinating communication with team members on sales task delivery and completion dates Collaborating with Category Management and Buying Teams to support efforts on inventory and product management Collaborating with Marketing Team on marketing and promotional campaigns Maintaining detailed records of sales activities in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, including client feedback summaries, and relevant market analysesQualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or account management in the food and beverage or personal care industry is required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or other related discipline Strong negotiation skills Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets A strong relationship builder that is skilled at creating strong connections with clients to promote trust and drive repeat business The ability to analyze and to assess market trends and competitive landscapes Professional and clear in all written and verbal communicationApplication Instructions:
