Description

The Commercial Customer Service Representative/Account Manager oversees the servicing of policies for Global Marine Insurance commercial clients. This position is extremely important to the producer and you will be asked to do a wide variety of tasks to assist.

Responsibilities

       Managing Inbound Calls

Receive inbound calls including transferred calls from current clients/brokersPlace outbound follow-up calls for various reasons or documentsAnswer questions about the product details, the company, and issues with account for the clients/brokers.Assist clients/brokers with any technical issues experienced with website and escalate any issues to management appropriately.Perform account maintenance activitiesMeet Quality Assurance Requirements and other key performance metrics.Handle accounts/questions/calls when the producer is outCommunication and documentation is extremely important

     Endorsements/Renewals

Process all endorsements, diary information, follow up if necessary, answer questions/concerns.Process renewalsAssist the producer on any items requested

Payments

Upon notification from Accounting that an account is past due, contact the insured via email for payment.

Shop Markets

Upon renewal, shop markets if necessary for price & coverage.  Communicate with the producer prior to shopping.

Other Administrative Tasks

Perform other job duties as they may be assigned including but not limited to the above tasks.

Requirements

The formal education and experience for a Customer Service Representative/ Account Manager can vary.  However, the following are commonly required for this position:

Demonstrated strong decision-making abilityExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple tasks and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environmentFlexibility with daily tasksFast and accurate typing skillsStrong follow-up skillsGoal orientedAbility to learn and navigate new software quicklyStrong ability to organize and prioritizeExcellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concern, and overcome objectionsMust possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with clients/brokers and team members over the phone3+ years commercial experience2-3+ years of account management experienceAMS knowledge preferred but not a necessity

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Up to 50%

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
